Volunteer Opportunities
For girls to benefit from Girl Scouting, they need the guidance
of dedicated, caring adults…adults like you!
Some volunteers provide guidance by working directly with girls.
Others lend expertise for a specific short-term project or event
or serve on the council's board or one of its committees..
In Girl Scouting, we realize that today’s busy adult may
not be able to make long-term volunteer commitments.
That is why we offer flexible options to anyone interested in
the development of young girls. Below are just a few of the many
volunteer positions available in Girl Scouting. Whether it’s
once a week, once a month, or once a year, your efforts will make
a difference.
Here a few examples of volunteer opportunities at Girl Scouts – Rock
River Valley Council:
- Troop or group leader
- Trainer/workshop coordinator
- Mentor/advisor (especially to help
girls with specific badge requirements)
- Fund raiser
- Translator
- Person trained in First Aid

- Board Member
